Summary: Webster
Thomas won last year's S5-A crown but lost its top 2 to graduation.
Though the Monroe County meet is not always an oracle of who will win
the S5-A race, Rush-Henrietta's 6 point win over Churchville-Chili there
indicates that this year's Sectional race should be really close.
Irondequoit's Madeleine Shellard was last year's winner and again will be
among the favorites, but the Monroe County top two of Haley Arguien and
Haley Riorden should be at the front.

Summary: Last
year's S5-B winner Canandaigua was moved up to Class A, so 2nd place
finisher Pittsford Mendon has seized the opportunity by having a banner
year including a strong 3rd place finish at Monroe County. The Vikings
will be big favorites this year. PM frontrunner Madelyn Rose McLaughlin
was the top S5-B runner at Monroe and should be one of the favorites
along with Newark 8th grader Trinity Wells and Honeoye Falls-Lima's
Payton Reed. The status of last year's runner-up Rebekah Preisser is
unclear.
Summary: This
race pits last year's S5-C winner Waterloo against S5-D winner
Harley-Allendale-Columbia, while reignin state champ Hayleigh Palotti's
Livonia team could also be in the hunt. Palotti will capture the
individual title again.
Summary: Addison
finished 2nd in S5-C last year and then moved down to Class D, where it
is the overwhelming favorite this year. Letchworth's Kelsey Hastings
finished 3rd in S5-D in 2016 and is favored to win this year.
