Summary:  An historic run of 19 straight Sectional wins for Warwick Valley is on the line versus Monroe-Woodbury in the S9-A contest. A virtual meet based on speed ratings has the Wildcats ahead at 60.5-64, but Monroe-Woodbury won by 11 points in the big OCIAA race. Mark this one down as one of the best showdowns for this year as the Crusaders try to use their depth to pull the upset. Wildcat frontrunner Behailu Bekele-Arcuri won last year and is the favorite for a repeat.

Cornwall

162.2

Doyle, Vilda, Bywater, Teague, Denning, Byrne, Ormiston

3

Red Hook

149.8

Hobson, Husted, Beach, Mebride, Hackmeyer
Summary:  Goshen won last year's S9-B battle with Cornwall by 38-39 and has the best speed ratings this year, but Cornwall had the better result at OCIAA and wins by 35-39.5 in a virtual score based on speed ratings. So we'll project Cornwall here, but this should be one of the best contests on Friday between two pretty evenly matched teams. Goshen frontrunner and OCIAA champ Liam Higgins won last year's race and should again take the title this year.

3

Sulliivan West

134.2

Gibson, Herbert, Marshall, Maopolski, Siegel
Summary:  Mount Academy and Section 4's reigning state champion Watkins Glen will likely be battling for the States title again this year, but first the deep Eagles squad will need to get by a rising James O'Neill team. Basically everyone from last year's Mount team was cleared out by graduation, but a rebuilding project has been succesful and Travis Meier has become the favorite for the individual win.
