Summary:  Syosset had the top average time among the S8-A teams in the recent Section 8 Conferences meet and won last year's race fairly easily, but this year four teams are in the mix and this contest should be much closer. Port Washington's Lucy Hurt was 2nd in last year's race, but Syosset's Reilly Siebert always has the highest speed ratings going into S8-A.

South Side's Carly Woelfel finished 2nd behing Great Neck North's Samantha Law last year, and the two of them will be the favorites again this year.
