Breakdown: Three of the top 5 New Yorkers will be vying for the title, with Karrie Baloga looking to defend her win from a year ago. The goal is always to break 14mins here, and with the talent up top, it's possible more than one can dip under. The record for a single race is three under 14mins, which could very well be challenged here (it takes roughly a 152), and then there will be a pack of talent behind. Kate Putman is coming off a win from McQuaid, but Angelina Napoleon ran nearly equally as fast alone earlier in the day. The pair are future teammates, but it won't curb their competitiveness heading into Manhattan.

Teams at the Top:  Bethlehem (120.8), Cicero-North Syracuse (123.6), Bolles FL (115.6), Assumption, KY (114.2), Haddonfield Memorial (107.4), Shaker (105.2)
Breakdown: A McQuaid rematch is on the way, with both Bethlehem and Cicero-North Syracuse battling for the coveted #2 slot in the State Rankings, also the potential for an NXN berth. Unlike McQuaid, there are plenty of team displacers in this field, which gives Bethlehem an edge, and two out-of-state teams in Bolles and Assumption could become a major factor on the short course.
