Summary: Saratoga's 17-year run at the top of S2-A ended last year with a 3rd place finish behind Shenendehowa and Niskayuna, though the Blue Streaks still earned a spot later at NXN. This year though they have again hardly been seen at NY invitationals, speed ratings put them far ahead of the competition. But again, much of the big TR number is due to Kelsey Chmiel, who will again be the favorite in the race she won by 50 seconds last year. The chance for either Niskayuna or Shenendehowa to pull the upset this year would come by packing runners into the sweet spot above the 110 TR level, which is what Shen did to win by 20 points last year. Saratoga appears to be much deeper this year, though, and freshman Ella Kurto could give the Blue Streaks two runners in first at the top.

Summary: Burnt Hills beat Mohonasen by a narrow 6 points last year with Rory Graham finishing 1st, and result could be very similar this year for S2-B. Mohonasen showed that its in the hunt with a win at Colonial Council, but Burnt Hills should be well rested.

Summary: Greenwich is completely dominant in S2-C after taking the S2-D title last year with Brynne Wright as individual champ. Freshman Nina Sgambelluri is the top rated runner for the Witches this year, and they will win here and be a huge favorite to add another States title to the collection.
