Summary: Canandaigua was the winner last year in the mud of Sectionals, but this the favorites appear to be Brighton and Rush-Henrietta judging by the Monroe County results. Brighton was 2nd behind Class B's Pittsford Mendon, but it has some depth issues at the back. Rush-Henrietta was just 5 points behind Brighton ay Monroe, and if you remove that meet's B teams, the result is basically a tie. Webster Thomas and Irondequoit are also certainly close enough to make this race very difficult to predict. Katie Cobos was 6th in last year's race and 1st at Monroe County last weekend, and she will be the favorite for the individual title.
Summary: Last
year Pittsford Mendon won the S5-B by more than 60 points, and though this year's contest should be closer, the Vikings should still win comfortably with their solid depth. Trinity Wells won last year's race as an 8th grader, and she will be a huge favorite to pick up her second title this year.

Summary: Harley-Allendale-Columbia captured the S5-C title by 6 points over Waterloo last year, and the two teams look they are set for another close battle this year that should also involve Mercy, Penn Yan, and Addison. HAC's Roxana Reisch was 3rd last year, but a win at Wayne-Finger Lakes should make her the favorite for the win this time.

Summary: The status for most of the teams for S5-D is unclear, but Byron-Bergen appears to have put together a title-winner. Young runners Alexa Wolcott and Mallory Rice are challenging for the individual title with last year's 3rd place finisher Libby Powers.
