State of the Action: It took a while for it to happen, but we finally have a clear differentiator in the High Jump. Just like we saw with the girls in 2020, the High Jump doesn't have the depth it has had in the past, typically put four guys over 6-8. Instead, we have strong parity, meaning every attempt, or miss, will be crucial in determining the outcome. Tyler Kell (Clyde-Savannah) stands above the field, as the only athlete this Season to have cleared 6-6, doing so at the State Qualifier. Behind him are five or six more athletes at 6-4, looking for just one perfect jump to improve their standing. With that kind of pressure, the margin of error for making the podium is razor thin. | |||||
