Overview:  Chenango Forks' Pipher Reid was 2nd in her small schools' race at McQuaid, losing out only to the top runner at the meet. St. Joseph Hill sophomore Ava Gumb had a 2nd at the Xavier invite outside Ocean Breeze, and she could be set for a big leap here. Putting together the numbers for Middletown South is a challenge since they prefer to do class meets organized on senior-junior-sophomore races, but they are ranked 4th in NJ and should do well here when their pack gets together. North Rockland has also been developing a strong unit recently, and a solid performance against Bethlehem at Grout indicates that the Red Raiders may be ready to get a big trophy here.
