Unfortunately, one of those athletes in unable to attend the meet, but State Leader Anissa Moore (Hempstead) is vying to become the first athlete to win a follow-up State Title under a different school since 2012. Behind her, Kyla Palmer (Skaneateles), the Iowa native, is trying to grab a State Title for the first time herself, and is close behind. Coming into view in recent weeks, a pair of sisters could play spoiler. Gloria Guerrier (West Hempstead) is recently dipping under 1:34.0, which would have been good for silver last year, while sister Victoria wants to bring the rest of the family on the podium. | |||||
