State of the Action: Whereas the Shot Put is wrapped up neatly, the Weight Throw may be one of the best events of the meet. Three athletes have all broken 70-feet, each holding the State Lead at one point in time this season. Parker Kim (Syosset) is the most recent top thrower, launching a 70-6.75 just this past weekend. Before that, Dustin Swartwood (Auburn) had held steady with his 70-3 performance in Feburary. And it was Shotter Matthew Auble who got over the threshold at the Qualifier, hitting 70-0.75. Gotta replicate the mark to win the title, and we're eager to see how this one plays out. | |||||
