Karrie Baloga is the Indoor State Champ in the event, and only improved upon her time when heading to Penn Relays. In Philly, Baloga got caught up in a record-breaking attempt at the front of the race, and will be setting the pace by herself here at States, but she's shown the capabilities to handle any pace just fine, coming in as the favorite. She'll have the pair from FM, Izzie Sullivan and Hannah Kaercher, right on her tail, both faster than Baloga's solo effort at State Quals. | |||||
