Rewriting The Record Books: A Look At The Past Three Years

New York is privileged to be one of the few States with a true 'Record Book." Originally compiled by Larry Bryne, in what would become to be known as the "Blue Book," the responsibility was passed off to MileSplit in 2014, to update the lists and maintain the history of the sport. Every result from 1912 forward has passed through the Blue Book, compiling a true All-Time list for the sport of High School Track in New York State.

Originally, lists were maintained at 50 All-Time for Outdoor Track, and 25 All-Time for Indoor Track. As Indoor has grown, we've begun to expand those lists for Indoor, by adding those marks above the 'threshold' of the old Top 25 lists. Some events, such as Weight Throw and Pole Vault, have exploded recently, and have expanded to Top 50 already. Others have not.

We decided to take a look at the past three years of additions to the All-Time lists, to get a gauge of where we are as a sport. Which events are at an all-time high? Which at an all-time low? Check out what we found below.

Note: Our front facing rankings may not include all All-Time marks. Many marks from pre-computer age lack full results files.
Marks made 1999 forward are generally included without issue.
