State of the Action: The pits at Ocean Breeze can be considered the "Great Equalizer." While many may be used to "low-pits' back home, the flush sand at Ocean Breeze brings out the real competition. The top three athletes in the State all have best's of 23-0 or better to their name, but none of them were achieved at the Armory or Ocean Breeze. That should produce a shuffle in the finishing order when the margins are so slim, but the Junior Christian Quinn (Freeport) is an athlete on the rise in his jumps, and currently leads the State. | |||||
