2017 Boys NYSPHSAA State Meet Preview

Boys Class B - Individuals

What The Numbers Say: With a superficial look, the defending Class B State Champ looks strong in his title defense.  With a course record at Parma Park, and a more reserved effort the week after to qualify, Nathan Lawler is rested and ready to race.

What Can Change: Races aren't won and lost on paper, and this race is closer than ever before.  Parker Stokes is coming on at the right time, and posted the highest Speed Rating of the year at his Sectional Championships.  Ian Russ is steadily improving as well, and has never lost to Lawler in an XC race when both were at full strength.  You can expect all three runners to crest the 191 mark in their efforts.  Tyler Berg can be considered in the equation, but is going against guys who have been ahead of him all season, including McQuaid, where they all met.
