Girls Class D - Individuals
Lexi Bernard is one of two athletes to have run on this course the last time it hosted the State Meet, and she's looking tom improve on her 12th place finish. It helps to have her sister run alongside her, a constant training partner since well before 1st grade on the age-group running circuit. The pair have a healthy lead on the field, but the State Meet never plays out exactly according to the projections.
Sam Damico is one year older than Bernard was back in 2016, but youth knows no bounds. Running up in the North Country, Damico could welcome the competition with a big jump in performance, and surprise the field with her State Meet debut.
