State of the Action: The Shot Put is always in search of it's next 60-footer. We haven't had that this year, so instead, it brings plenty of close competition. Until last weekend, the top of the State Rankings were near even. Quinn Smith (Hampton Bays) had a best of 58-1, while Jayden Dubard (Cheektowaga) had a best of 58-0. That all changed when Smith threw 59-6.75 at the LI Elite Meet. He'll just have to do it again if he wants to be in the clear at States. | |||||
