State of the Action: With the State Leader not running this event at his Qualifier, and some others opting for other races as well, the Top 3 contingent for the 1000m title all hail from Section 6. Just the same, they all carry Season Bests in the 2:32 range. That sense of familiarity can be both comforting and disconcerting, as two athletes will be looking to not have a repeat of State Quals.
