State of the Action: The pits at Ocean Breeze are the great equalizer, as many in New York spend time jumping downhill. Still, Camryn Cole and Corintia Griffith (Webster Schroeder) are the top two in the State for a reason. They're consistently well over 18-feet, and that consistency is key at a big meet. The caveat? The Long Jump will be the third event for both of them, third behind an event each of them will be chasing their own State Records in. That opens up the door for an upset. Section 11 had two athletes over 18-feet at their Qualifier, led by Stephanie Weiner (Central Islip) and that's what took silver the year before. | |||||
