Girls Individuals
Breakdown: This will (most likely) be the second to last time Katelyn Tuohy hits the hills of Bowdoin Park. With temps of 50 degrees predicted, it's perfect cross country weather. With a race strategy that went from speed, to cautious strength at States, and next week's regional being a simple preamble to Nationals, this could be the last weekend Tuohy is able to drop a fast performance in-state. Even if she is running relaxed, grabbing her single team point, and gearing up for next week, she has a comfortable lead.
The more hotly contested race may be for second place. Jenna Schulz had a breakout race at the State Meet, to edge out freshman Karrie Baloga. Baloga had the seasonal advantage, but Schulz made a strong move that wouldn't be countered. The pair will get a rematch here at Bowdoin Park, for which both athletes have run numerous times. Things should get interesting. Based on her Sectional Performance, Ella Kurto could also be up with this group, pushing for the podium.
