VVS Invite Breaks In 2020 State Meet Course Layout

Fayetteville Girls held off a strong early push from Section 2's Shenendehowa, both teams ranked in the Top 5 in the State.  Claire Walters (FM), 5th at NXN the past two years, took the race by 30-seconds, finishing second in the merge.  Manlius pulled in the next three across the line, followed by Jada Dennis (Shenendehowa).  Manlius sealed the deal with a 1-5 compression of 90-seconds, leading to a total of 17 points.  The two teams would also finish 1-2 in the merge.

Girls Varsity 2

Section 3 is no slouch for Class D schools, as South Lewis saw their Top 2 girls under 20-mins.  The race won by Hannah Ielfield at 19:06.1, Lizzy Lucason (Camden) would take second fifteen seconds later.  But it was the depth of CNS, led by freshman Kate Putman, that would bring home the Team Title.
