Breakdown: Defending champ Faith DeMars had to work for this one. Lizzie Lucason had her breakout race of the season, and the pair were pushing eachother throughout. The war of attrition only broke to DeMars favor with 1000m to go, where she pulled slightly ahead. Still, both went on to break 18mins, and DeMars would come within ten seconds of her winning mark from a year ago.
Breakdown: May be the most unexpected race of the day, Brighton came out with a breakthrough performance to take the win over defending champs East Aurora. Brighton pulled in their compression, while also dropping two girls into the top 10 finishers overall. They jumped their team average Speed Rating by nearly ten points since their last outing at ESM.
