Manlius Grabs 3 Of 4 Titles, Katelyn Tuohy Continues Record Season - NXN-NY Recap

Boys Individual

In the most unpredictable race of the day, it was  junior Garrett Brennan who captured the win here.  An likely feat, as Brennan was in a boot for the majority of the season.  After an injury waiver and a few dual meets to return, Brennan has steadily been jumping in the Speed Ratings.  Since Sectionals, when he ran 174, he has jumped ten points on every new outing.  He becomes the third athlete from Manlius to ever win a NY Regional, joining Nick Ryan and Bryce Millar.

Brennan didn't secure the title until he entered the back woods.  Before then, it was Tyler Berg leading the way.  Berg emerged at the top of the hill as the leader, with State winner Silas Derfel in tow.  Both had gone head-to-head at Feds the week before, and we're battling out front.  Their efforts brought them across the line for Individual Invites, joined by Parker Stokes, Shea Weilbaker, and Ian Russ.
