Breakdown: The top two finishers from a week ago will get their rematch right quick. Delilah Pandori-Howell put down an All-Time mark at the Pre-State Meet, but had company from Riley Lynch through 4500m. With the race being 3 Miles, that finish will come quicker, and provide a strong finish. Tsadia Bercuvitz (Ithaca) is the race's top returner, winning the race overall in 2024. Last year, she was 5th in a respectable time, the standard for those looking to win here in 2026.

Team-wise, you have Section 2 representing well, having another crack at what will be a hugely important Class A matchup. Last week, Saratoga came out on top, but Guilderland was sitting some of their Top 5. Their compression will help them in a field this size, even though their team average may be lower. That displacement tends to grow the bigger the field, and Saratoga could very well stay undefeated.
