The youngest New York Foot Locker finalist in some years takes to the track just as well. A thrilling finish in the Indoor 3000m see's her capture her first State Title, and gives a glimpse into the age of distance running after graduating one of the most loaded senior classes in history.
2 - Sam Lawler Captures Federation Win
After taking home the fastest time of the day at the State Meet, Lawler comes back at Federations, and proves it head-to-head, capturing the title with a 20-second margin.
3 - Isabella Rogler Brings Racewalk Back To Long Island
After a rare year that LI doesn't see the State Title come home, Rogler comes back with a bang, and establishes herself as NY #4 All-Time in the event to win the State Title.
4 - Cardinal Hayes Readies For Big Run
Hayes impresses with a NY #6 All-Time in early January, but a dropped baton prevents them from the finals at States. Even still, they picked the baton up, continued to run, and won their heat by 4 seconds. Oh, what could have been, both Indoors and Out. Still, their early Season mark still counts, with much of the relay to return in 2021.
5 - Mia D'Ambrosio Takes The Sprint By A Nose
The margins had never been closer. Both Kahniya James and Mia D'Ambrosio clocked the exact same time in the 55m Final at States, and it went down the FAT system in the milli-seconds to break the tie, both at 6.95.
6 - Quinn Smith Launches 60-Foot Throw To Win Title
Keeping the streak alive. In his final throw series of his High School Career (unbeknownst to him at the time), Smith joins the elusive 60-foot club, keeping our yearly streak alive, and earning him a State Tile.
7 - Pedro Bravo Dominates The Middle Distance
Ruling the Middle Distances, Bravo had his options at the State Meet. He opted for the 1600m, where he kicked away form the field to set a NY #1 by three seconds over the rest.
8 - Kal Lewis Outkicks Colton Kempney For Title
It was a long awaited matchup, as the pair looked to be dead even heading into the race. But the Senior defended his title against the next wave, kicking away in the final meters to come roaring into the finish.
9 - Soledad Jean Sets Herself Up For State Triple
We've never seen a three-time Indoor State Jump in the High Jump, and almost as rare for any other Field Event to boot. Jean is now on her second, with a Senior Year to go, and the margins of victory have been clear.
10 - Nick Pisciotta Claims Top 5 All-Time (Twice)
A little pandemic couldn't stop the throwers. After a NY #4 All-Time throw in the Weight Indoors to win the State Meet, he found his own competition outdoors in the Hammer to add a NY #5 All-Time there.
