Boys Class D - Individuals
What The Numbers Say: For the second straight year, Kal Lewis comes in as the underdog. At the same time, he is the two-time defending Class D State Champion, so it's hard to count him out. Last year, he had the familiarity of Sunken Meadow to his advantage, and pulled away to a 15-second win. That gap can't be discounted heading into a much flatter course.
What Can Change: Sophomore Colton Kempney is having a near undefeated season, finishing first in every race he's run this year, bested only on the merge. The ability to win here is a huge edge, including the win at the Section 7 Pre-State Invite. While the course may have some slight variations, it all comes in handy when it counts.
