Outlook: The Lady Spartans have big depth with nearly everyone back from last year's 2nd place team. Maggie Maier and Shannon Thieke will again be looking for a 1-2 finish, and with Marie Naudus, Bridget Rosso and Helen Moloney hoping to move higher up in the top 25, Sacred Heart will be the favorite for the CHSAA title and likely also in a few other major meets this season.

Notre Dame (Gators)

Last Year's Summary:  2nd in CHSAA, 1st in NYCHSAA-BQCHSAA
CHSAA Titles: 1987, 1988, 1990, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017   CHSAA Individual Winners:  Kathy Moloughney (1987), Mary Wallace (1989), Maxine Davila (2003), Sydney Rice (2015, 2016)

Outlook: The Gators had some injury and depth problems last year that prevented them possibly winning a fifth straight CHSAA title, and this year there are again some concerns about how the back of the squad will be filled out. ND should have the top trio in the conference with senior Sierra Dinneen, junior Giavanna Comerford, and freshman Alyssia Brown flying high, but the 4-5-6 spots around senior Sofia Garcia need some work.

St. John the Baptist (Cougars)

Last Year's Summary:  4th in CHSAA, 3rd in NSCHSAA
CHSAA Titles:  2004, 2008, 2009   CHSAA Individual Winners:  Janelle Vadnais (1998), Meaghan Lucie (2006), Anne Carey (2008)

Outlook: The Cougars exceeded expectations with a senior-heavy squad led by Hailey Marcello, and now they will need to regroup behind the three returners from last year led by senior 8th place finisher Kerri McCormack. Madison Isnardi and Sabrina Spezia should provide good support, and SJB had enough strength on the JV squad in 2018 to put it in contention in the CHSAA this year.

Saint Anthony's (Friars)

Last Year's Summary:  5th in CHSAA, 4th in NSCHSAA

CHSAA Titles:  1984,1985,1986, 1992, 1993, 1996,1997, 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2011, 2012, 2013   CHSAA Individual Winners:  Mary Townsend (1986), Colleen Brady (1988), Pilar Marin (1997, 1999), Victoria Ciotti (2011)

Outlook:  The top six finishers from last year's young 5th place CHSAA squad are back, so the Friars are poised to move up. Kylie Maddalena took 12th last year and leads a top quartet of juniors who could be looking to break into the top 3 with a little development.

Monsignor Martin Titles:  2016, 2017, 2018   MMA Individual Winners: Danielle Orie (2016)

Outlook:  The Gators dominated the Buffalo area All-Catholics conference again and won the Monsignor Martin meet by 52 points. With five runners back from last year's top MMA 11 headed by Ella Dileo, Mary Katherine Hartigan, and Heidi Khuu and a strong group coming up from the JV squad, Nardin will be the big favorite at the MMA again this year.

Kellenberg (Firebirds)

Outlook:  Kellenberg won its first CHSAA title in 8 years in 2018 as four seniors pushed the Firebirds to the top. Ashley Minns is back from last year's top 5 and with fellow juniors Maggie McLoughlin and Victoria Diquez, Kellenberg has a base to build on for the next two years.

St. Joseph by the Sea (Vikings)

Last Year's Summary:  6th in CHSAA, 2nd in NYCHSAA-BQCHSAA
CHSAAA Titles:  1991   CHSAA Individual Winners: Jeannie Radice (1982)

Outlook:  The Vikings finished 6th in last year's CHSAA, and that is where they are projected this year. With two junior top 30 finishers in Olivia George and Grace Schaaff, St. Joseph by the Sea should be competitive both this year and in 2020.
