What The Numbers Say: Shea Weilbaker is the only athlete to break 16mins at Sunken Meadow since Mikey Brannigan did so back in 2015. That fact may not stand true after States, but Class A would need a big performance from a challenger to add to that list. Weilbaker has a gap on the field, but will be racing the clock and finishing slots from Class B to solidify the merge win as well.
What Can Change: Sunken Meadow is enough of a challenging course to provide unpredictability. Any number of athletes in the next group could have a big day, and challenge for the win.
