Breaking It All Down - Full Manhattan Invitational Recap

Boys Easterns - Individuals

Recap: They were even at the bridge, and it was set to be a sprint to the finish.  Top returner Charles Hicks (Bolles) would outkick Devin Hart (Pt. Pleasant Boro) in the final 600m to claim the first Eastern States Title for an athlete not from the Tri-State (plus CT.).  He opened up a second lead to cross the line in 12:15.2, good for #11 All-Time at Van Cortlandt Park.  Hicks, who placed fourth at Great American, turned his fortune around with his biggest win to date.  He was ninth place last year at NXN, and looks to be a strong contender heading back.  Hart would cross the line tied for #28 All-Time, while Connor Nisbet (Wilmington Friends), who was two spots behind Hicks at GA, would take third at #79 All-Time.
