Foot Locker Boys

Unlike the girls, there is a clear gap group here in the boys race.  Two State Champs from NY, the home state, are up against the State Champs from NJ and MA, plus the New England Champ.  It's a loaded race.

Chief among the leaders is Devin Hart.  He's been on a tear in Jersey, and hasn't been challenged in the post season.  Tristan Shelgren and Mason Gatewood had a down-to-the-wire finish at Ocean State, and since then, both have gone undefeated in much bigger invitationals.  They'll meet again here.  Drew Thompson is looking to live up to Fairfield Prep's legacy here at Foot Locker, and Nate Lawler is making the transition from NXR to FLNE for the first time.

Behind that crew, the gate is wide open.  Rusty Kujdych finds himself in no-mans land, but staying there should be good enough to qualify safely.  Noah Beveridge ran with Rusty at States, and can do much the same here.  Cal Puskar had an off race at States, but who didn't in the mud?  Morgan Cupp and Tyler Wirth are also right there.
