What The Numbers Say: After a season on the mend, Corning is putting things together when it matters. Quinn Nicholson seems to be getting back in the groove, winning his Sectional qualifier. Their team comes in with a healthy lead on the field.
What Can Change: In short, Corning could get better. Bryce Derick was under the weather at Sectionals, and a week of recovery should mend that. However, Manlius, seeded second, is also mending their new addition, who was added back in at Sectionals. They could close the gap, much like at NXN-NY last year. Niskayuna is another team right in the mix, only a projected point out of second. Smithtown is right there too, after toppling who would have been the clear #2 seed at their own Sectional Qualifier. This race is too close call anyone a favorite, but Corning does have a lead going in.
