NYT&F Battle of the Years - Leaders Showdown 2008-2015 Indoors

. . . . . . Group 7: Throws
In the shot put, the guys develop to the point where they can contend in their junior years, but they don't reach maximum oopmh and aaaaarghhhh until their senior years, and so there are eight different winners on the boys' side. On the girls' side there is Melissa Kurzdorfer again and again and again. Adrienne Alexander also was tops twice, but only Alexis Daniels last year can break into the top three heaves versus the indomitable Kurzdorfer.

Eric Favors may have put 2015 over the top with a 66-1 toss for a 1st place that builds the team's lead to 15 points going into the final round. Benjamin Bonhurst keeps a little bit of drama in the action with a 65-0 throw for 2nd for the 2014 team. With Chuk Enekwechi heaving the 3rd best throw for 3rd place 2011, the top three spots seem pretty well set.

Melissa Kurzdorfer saved her best for the last in her senior season in 2010 to push her squad back into the lead over the 2013 team by 5 points going into the last event. Alexis Daniels breaks up Kurzdorfer's hold on the top with a 2nd place that moves the 2015 team into 5th place.

18 points by the 2015 squad in the shot pretty much ended the drama for the Combined title, as the lead is now 23 points. 2011 and 2013 are waging a great battle for 2nd though, and 2010 and 2014 are in a dead heat for 4th.
