Helped by the doubling up for the distance events, the performers with the most appearances in the Leaders battles were Alex Hatz and Mary Cain with 6 spots, and Emily Lipari was right behind with 5. Melissa Kurzdorfer gets extra kudos for picking up three appearances in the field events for her shot put specialty, and yes she also had the best throw in 2007 as a freshman, the year before this contest began. Phyllis Francis and Dailah Muhammad would also have picked up another spot for 2007, as would have Andy Kahl and AJ Johnson on the boys' side.
