NYT&F Battle of the Years - Leaders Showdown 2008-2015 Indoors

. . . . . . Group 4: Hurdles

There's only one indoors hurdles event, but three athletes have earned repeat titles in the Leaders contest. On the guys' side, Jay Hebert won in 2013 and 2014, and for the girls the double-dealers were Madalayne Smith in 2009 and 2010 and Lateisha Philson in 2011 and 2012. Not as many points up for grabs here, but it's still an event with a lot of inspirational hops.

Jay Hebert's junior self of 2013 flashed over the hurdles well ahead of his senior self, and that was good news for the 2015 team that saw Sidney Gibbons just 0.01 seconds behind in 2nd. Picking up 4 points on the 2014 leaders leaves last year's squad just 2 points back now.

A tie at the top between Madalayne Smith of 2010 and Lateisha Philson of 2011 gives both squads 10 points and leaves them separated by 1 point for 2nd and 3rd. Akayla Anderson does enough to keep the 2013 team comfortably in the lead, 64-55 over 2011.

Hebert's 1st gives the 2013 squad enough of a boost to move into the lead over the 2015 team by 1 point at 107-106. 2011 also hits triple digits, and five teams are still in the running for the Combined championship.
