54th McQuaid To Be One Of The Fastest Ever Run - Full Recap

Individuals

Breakdown:  For the second year in a row, a Canadian comes to the AA Race, and wins in one of the fastest marks of the day.  Josh Zelek lead wire-to-wire to find the 4th fastest time of the day in his victory.  Typically used to the 6K distance, the 3 Mile was a welcome change for the speed based runner.

Behind him, there was another interesting story playing out.  Parker Stokes is the States Top Returner in Class B, while Sam Lawler is the younger brother to the reigning champ.  Both showed they were ready to fight, and with the finish near dead even, this will be one race to watch throughout the season.

Teams

Breakdown: Sticking to their usual strategy, Xavier boys once again came away with the win in the AA Seeded Race.  This year, however, their fate was unsure, as Canadian team Sir Winston Churchill came within only ten points of snatching victory.  Xavier's compression is usually their strong suit, but Churchill's frontrunner put doubt in that tactic.
