Boys Team Race
Breakdown: So far, it's been a storybook season for the boys of Burnt Hills. They've gone undefeated in head-to-head competition this year, which now includes a Federation Title. Although they had the highest compression of any team in the Top 4 finishing spots, there wasn't much doubt on their finish. With Aidan Gilloolley and Tyler Berg going 3-4 as individuals in the race, they had a big leg up on the competition. In addition, Evan Brennan returned to his form from Sectionals, and offered another rock of security for the Spartans.
Xavier put in a strong effort in taking second place, matching their highest finish at the event. Only 25 points off, they did so with their highest finisher taking 12 individually. Fairport took the biggest jump over the projections, but it could be expected with this being their first time on solid ground in quite some time.
Burnt Hills will return to Bowdoin next week, chasing at berth at NXN, something they haven't seen since 2009.
