PSAL's Top Runners

After a year off for most of the PSAL XC runners, we just have some info from a few athletes who ran on club teams or as unattached entrants. There is also some info from a series of spring track meets. The lead off runner here is running unattached as she transferred from the HS of Environmental Studies and her new school, Brooklyn Prospect Charter, does not have an XC team and thus technically is not part of the PSAL system though she deserves mentioning.

Rose Coats (unattached). Coats won a freshman race in the 2019 Mayor's Cup and then last year had a very impressive 11th in the Northeast XC championship along with a win with a sub 18:00 time for the 5K in the spring East Coast Emerging Elite 5K race.

Isabella Stenhouse (Stuyvesant) The Pegleg junior finished 2nd to Brooklyn Tech's Lucy Doogan at the 2019 PSAL championship, and after a 27th in the Northeast XC championship last fall, she would be a top pick to win a 2021 crown.

Kristen Aguilera (Susan Wagner) The Falcon junior was 3rd in the 2019 PSAL championship followed by 2nd in the Staten Island championship with a big 120 speed rating. She continued to run a bit last fall and was 73rd at the Northeast XC championship.
