Highlight Performance: 6-10 for NY #1 in the High Jump
Pre COVID - Junior year, Wehr was a consistent and reliable jumper. His average benchmark was 6-5, with some clearances of 6-4 and some at 6-6. Putting it all on the line at the Indoor qualifier, he popped a personal best 6-7 to take home the win, and send him to the State Meet. After a 6-4 win at the Long Island Elite Meet, he repeated the 6-4 clearance at States for a 5th place finish overall.
Now - With very little major competition this Indoor, Wehr went undefeated in Section 11 polar bear, and then notched two 6-6 clearances at club invitationals, the latter of which nabbed him the Ocean Breeze Elite title. Outdoors, Wehr has raised the bar, making a huge leap to a 6-10 clearance. That final attempt puts him on the All-Time lists, which go 50 deep.
