Boys Class A Teams
State of the Action: The boys Class A race played out very similarly to the girls. The Shenendehowa boys came in the slight favorite, with a strong compression team. They ran relatively similarly to what they were able to do at SPAC, in terms of Speed Ratings, although the top three finishing order shuffled slightly. However, it was Manlius' ability to tighten their compression that gave them the edge. The race got out hard, and at one mile, Shen had a ten-second compression, but were deep in the pack. They managed to move up as a unit, eventually catching and passing Manlius 4-5-6. But they weren't able to move far up enough to displace those same runners, who improved five Speed Rating points a piece themselves.
Manlius successfully defended their State Title from a year ago. This was their 9th Title in program history.
