Girls Class A Teams
State of the Action: It was predicted to be a barn-burner, and the final result didn't disappoint. For the first time since 2005, Saratoga came home with the Class A State Title, over 12-time defending Champs Fayetteville-Manlius. Coincidentally, a 46 to 47 decision was the exact score of that 2005 race, although Hilton was the runner-up in that contest. 6 of the 7 Manlius runners hit Season Best Speed Ratings, but it wouldn't be enough to overcome Saratoga putting six runners ahead of their fifth. In the past 31 years, only five State Titles have been won by a team other than this pair. With a majority of both teams back next year, the battle rages on for 2019.
