With Medgar Evers and Benjamin Cardozo dominating the Girls and Combined contests and Boys and Girls also making big contributions, there was no way that the PSAL would not come out on top in those lists. But Section 1 edged out the PSAL on the boys' side by a half spot (places were split half and half when two athletes tied for the top mark), and it also picked up the 2nd most spots among the Girls to earn the runner-up place. Section 8 used the Emily Lipari superdrive effect to capture 3rd in the Girls and Combined contests, and Section 11 got enough from its guys and girls to edge out the CHSAA and Section 3 for the 4th spot in the Combined tally, with Section 9 finishing up close behind in 7th.
