Just like last year, we are waiting for this event to explode at the State Meet. It wasn't until then the future State Champion proved he was capable of pulling down the State Record (which he did one week later), and we're thinking this crop of athletes is ready for a similar jump. Best positioned for that is Van Furman, who already comes in with a respectable time of 9:07. The question is, can anyone bring that leader under 9mins?
