State of the Action: It's been two years since the legendary 1-2 sweep of the Outdoor 1500m by CNS High School. But one team has the potential to repeat that performance, and of all places, its coming from the PSAL. Dylan McElhinney (Hunter College HS) is the heavy favorite, despite the close seeds. She dropped a NY #5 All-Time Mile at Millrose, which converts down to a 4:23, and could prove to challenge the meet record. Behind her, teammate Ella Cohen has a true 1500m time of 4:32.41, nearly three seconds clear of the next challenger. Cohen will have the 3k in her legs at that time, but it sets up the potential for a historic sweep. Zaria Hall (East Meadow) is the best challenger to break up the duo, coming in with a 4:35 best. | |||||
