It was a more conservative start for both Katelyn Tuohy and Kelsey Chmiel through the opening laps, but the result repeated in the end. Tuohy's steady pace pulled her away from the field, while Chmiel did much the same, only a few strides off Tuohy in case anything went wrong up ahead.
