| It's not usual to find your dreams of a State Title coming up against the National Record Holder in the event, but being New York, we have three such cases this year, all in the distance events. Sarah Trainor has that distinction, setting the mark in the early season. But as last year showed, anything can happen on race day. Brooke Rauber was on pace for a strong winning mark, but hit the final hurdle. She's back in the race again, and Middletown has a more traditional Steeple setup, so the final hurdle is not 20m back from the finish. Mary Hennelly is also back after some injuries in years past, and looking to reassert herself in one of Suffern's perennial power events. | |||||
