This Year's Outlook
Sachem North last won a sectional title 20 years ago, and now with two of the state's top runners leading the Flaming Arrows, the team may be ready to get the next one. Christopher Tibbetts and Jonathan Lauer return from 6th and 7th place finishes at States, and with almost all of last year's varsity back again, Sachem North just needs steady development from a group of seniors to stay ahead of Northport's pack.

This Year's Outlook
Gone are longtime frontrunner and 2015 Federation winner Aidan Tooker along with Ethan North. Back is a big bunch of Blue Streaks led by senior Declan Hines, and it includes two freshmen in Geoff Howles and Aidan Waite who may be the face of Saratoga XC for years to come. With such a breadth of potential high-performing talent to call on, Saratoga looks set for a strong campaign to defend its S2-A title and maybe take a shot at a States title if the young guys come on strong.

Back are NXN Nationals finalist senior Noah Carey, States A top-20 rated sophomore Noah Tindale, and a total of four of the six runners who helped Guilderland place 3rd in Federations. Now the Dutchmen need to move the 3-6 spots up a ways to overtake Saratoga for the team's first sectional title in 26 years.

This Year's Outlook
Shen got knocked off in Sectionals by Saratoga last year after taking the 2014 S2-A crown, and three of the top 5 from last year's varsity are gone, but the Plainsmen still have a strong senior duo of Alex Matson and Josh Lacey at the head and a strong group of sophomores with big development potential.

This Year's Outlook
Queensbury got pushed up to Class A, eliminating what would have been a great battle with Burnt Hills in Class B, so now the Spartans get to fight it out with a pack of S2-A teams like Saratoga, Guilderland, and Shenendehowa. The Spartans are ready with the top 6 back from last year's 2nd place S2-B team. Senior Ethan Carey will be on the lead along with fellow States finalist Kevin Bouyea, and with Antonio Manzella and Cody Metcalfe in support, the Q should compete very well with its new classmates.
