Section by Section Class A Overview
SectionTop Teams Notes
1Arlington, Fox lane, North Rockland, Suffern, MamaroneckReigning champ Arlington lost half of its top 6 while 2nd-place Fox Lane returns its top 3, so the Admirals and Foxes start the season even. North Rockland and Suffern could also be in contention with strong development work.
2Saratoga, Guilderland, Shenendehowa,  Queensbury,  Niskayuna, Colonie, BethlehemSaratoga is the reigning S2-A champ, but the Blue Streaks start the season with Guilderland, Shenendehowa, and Queensbury stacked right on their heels in the state ratings.
3Fayetteville-Manlius, Liverpool, Baldwinsville, West Genesee, Cicero-North Syracuse,FM has more balance at the 1-5 positions to start the season, but if reigning champ Liverpool can develop a strong team behind its top 2, this will be another huge match in S3-A. Baldwinsville and West Genesee also sit within striking range this year.
4Ithaca, Corning, Horseheads

Ithaca has its top 5 back and has a bit of an edge over last year's 2nd place States A  team Corning.

5Penfield, Fairport, McQuaid, Irondequoit, Churchville-Chili, Hilton, Rush-HenriettaPenfield may be a little ahead of  Fairport and reigning champ McQuaid, but any of the top five teams could win a very competitive S5-A.
6Orchard Park, Lockport, Frontier, Hamburg, Williamsville North, ClarenceOrchard Park rode a youth movement to last year's S6-A title, and it starts the season with a small edge over Lockport and Frontier.

8Port Washington, Syosset, Mepham, Calhoun, East MeadowPort Washington starts the year with a slight edge over Syosset after reigning champ Calhoun graduated its top 4 .
9Warwick Valley, Kingston, Monroe-Woodbury, FD Roosevelt, WashingtonvilleWarwick Valley will be shooting for a 19th consecutive sectional crown and appears to be very likely to dominate the S9-A.
10No representatives
11Sachem North, Northport, Commack, Ward Melville,, Sachem East Reigning champ Sachem East lost 6 of its top 7, and now Sachem North with a tremendous top 2 looks to be starting the year maybe a little ahead of a Northport pack.
