Tuesday Top Ten Features Of The MileSplit Network

MileSplit NY - This Tuesday Top Ten is a little bit of a lesson for those unfamiliar with the true depth of the MileSplit system.  We are far deeper than a results aggregate, and the utilities are endless.  We've laid out for you the ten best features we have built into our system, and we leave you to explore their options.  Enjoy!

1. Virtual Meets - Click Here

Probably our most useful tool on the network for coaches looking to plan out their rosters, the Virtual Meet takes your athletes season best times, and compare's them to athletes of any combination of teams you choose.  From there, you can see where you're athletes are best suited to score, where the competition lies, and how to pick up those extra points that can win you the meet.  In addition to listing out the events, it will also score the meet to give you the most accurate prediction tool around.  Want to change the scoring?  Just add this formula to the end of the URL, to adjust the scoring to top 6, etc.   &scoring=10,8,6,4,2,1&relayscoring=10,8,6,4,2,1

2. Compare Athletes - Click Here

The ultimate way to settle any disputes on who is faster.  Pick any two names across the network, from any state, any section, and any school.  We'll then throw the two athletes up against eachother, and you can compare both PR's of the athletes.  In addition, we'll show you every time they have met up against eachother on the track, a true way to keep tally on who's been coming up first more often.

3. Customized Athlete Pages - Click here for example

Have you registered a username yet?  When you have, you can deck out your athlete page with all sorts of information, you can "like" other athlete's pages for updates on what they've been running, and you can even write a bio about your accomplishment.  Add in a profile picture so people know who to look for out on the track, and then you're profile page will be looking good.  Remember, you can also "tag" yourself in any of the articles you find your name in.  They will then appear on your athlete's page for easy viewing.  Same thing with any pictures in the gallery.  Check them out.

4. Conversion Counter - Click Here

Sometimes, we just want to know our mile time. As the 1600m event seems to be the most popular in the spring, you need a way to convert that to the old reliable mile.  Head over to our conversion calculator, which can also switch those jumping distances over to the metric system, showing you how the pro's measure their marks.  We can also convert meters to yards, for those purists of the 440y age.
