Perry's Rationale and Wrapper: | Seven of the top teams won championships last week, and Saratoga put up the biggest numbers at Queensbury, where six of the top NYS-A teams were mixing it up along with three ranked NYS-B teams. Warwick Valley made a big leap with a win at home, and Rush-Henrietta and Penfield both moved up nicely after a big 1-2 finish at GCC.
Kyle's Comments: | Canandaigua maintained their solid second with performances carrying them over through a weekend of innactivity. Look for them to remind the state of their merits next week at a stacked McQuaid. Saratoga heads down to Great American, and looks to carry over this week's success. |

Perry's Rationale and Wrapper: | East Aurora bedeviled everyone with a 108.4 TR rating at home to move into the second spot behind a resting Holy Names. Burnt Hills went to NH to take a championship and remains high up a little ahead of North Shore, which is waiting until this weekend to bust out. Cornwall leaped up to the 6th spot led by a runner named Cuffe. Pearl River sailed to a win in NJ and is once again leading the teams from Section 1. Queensbury excelled at home, and Honeoye Falls-Lima and Miller Place gathered big wins.
Kyle's Comments: | East Aurora has been having some success out west, leaving North Shore and Burnt-Hills battling it out for third. With only glimpses of North Shore to speculate at, these rankings may be reversed after Great American. |

20 | Christian Brothers Academy-Syracuse | 3 | 62.4 | 7th in Baldwinsville-Small | Pierce, McGlynn |
Perry's Rationale and Wrapper: | Bronxville continues to cruise at top after a big win at Warwick and someone familiar is raising Cain at the top of the TR ratings for Class C. But it is Skaneateles that made a big splash and rose the wave the furthest with finally a full squad in an impressive win out west in East Aurora. Tully also moves up with a win at Baldwinsville. A number of teams are having difficulties fielding a 5th runner and sometimes falling out of the rankings..
Kyle's Comments: | Skaneateles was on our radar during the summer as a real challenger in Class C, and are starting to show what many already knew. It may not be enough to catch the Bronco's, but it should be a decisive enough lead to put them as the favorites in Section 3. |
Girls Class D | |||||
Rank | Team | Section | TR Avg. | Last Week's Action | Top Runners |
1 | Maple Grove | 6 | 93.6 | Inactive | Pietrocarlo, Benson, Marsh, Norris, Sirwatka |
2 | Greenwich | 2 | 83.0 | 4th in Queensbury-D2 (partial squad) | Montague, Spezio, Perkins, Haskell (Houser and Lapham) |
3 | Immaculata | CHSAA-6 | 72.8 | Inactive | Attea, Kubiolka, Simon |
4 | Notre Dame-Batavia | 5 | 66.0 | 4th in East Aurora-Small | Call, McCracken, Warner |
5 | Sauquoit Valley | 3 | 64.2 | Inactive | Jones, Latella, George |
6 | Geneseo | 5 | 61.8 | 1st in GCC Cougar-3 | Miskell, Horn, Ryan |
7 | Berne-Knox-Westerlo | 2 | 59.4 | 7th in Queensbury-D2 | C. Tedeschi, A. Tedeschi |
8 | Candor | 4 | 57.4 | 7th at Owego | J. Russell, M.Russell |
9 | Remsen | 3 | 52.0 | Inactive | Cooley, Roberts |
10. | Red Creek | 5 | 50.8 | 2nd in GCC Cougar-3 | Wade, McDonald, Bristol |
Perry's Rationale and Wrapper: | Reigning champ Maple Grove moves to top of D as the wait for a full Greenwich squad continues. Geneseo picks up a first place, and Notre Dame-Batavia's girls team classification is cleared up for me so that they get properly placed this week. Inactive week for a lot of small teams.
Kyle's Comments: | Maple Grove could no longer be deprived of the top spot, as Greenwich again goes to the line missing key runners. While the dragons may enjoy a healthy lead now, who knows how it will play out in post season. |
