Loucks Returns As The Premier Invite Of Spring: Full Preview

Sprints

Boys

The 200m is the bridge sprint here, as 55m standout Perrion Williams (Franklin) takes on 300m State Champ Jaylin Santiago (Fordham Prep), both with bests at 21.5 in the event. Kory Brown (Tottenville) will be chasing a wind-legal 21.23 for the Freshman State Record, and Stylz Mitchell (Xavier) would love to bring the title home to CT.

Not to be underestimated is Nicholas Wright (Greeley) who's seeds make him the underdog, but his dominating performance to win the 55m Indoor State Title means he's got more in the tank. He's in both the 100m and 200m, chasing the top seeded NY #2 Ralph Johnson (Waverly) at 10.70.

Girls

Indoor 300m State Champion Ashley Fulton (Elmont) is looking to pull the double here, as both the top seed in the 100m and the 200m. She's the only athlete under 12secs and 24secs respectively, but will still have competition pushing her through the first phases of the race. Samantha Walz (St. Joe by the Sea) could very well challenge in both, with barrier breaking performances of her own.
