'Competition, Camaraderie, Culture'
We are a week away from the 2024 Bermuda National Championship featuring Bermuda Challenge, which is set for Friday, June 21st and Saturday June 22nd at the Bermuda National Athletics Center in Devonshire, Bermuda.
As part of our package of march up content, we met with Fidelis Osunkwo, Nicholos Sealey and Coach Desiree Moorer. The trio put together a successful scholastic season with Harry S. Truman High School and will now extend their work through the summer campaign representing the NRG Track Club, based out of the Bronx, New York.
Osunkwo, a University of Maryland Eastern Shore commit, will contest the 400 and 800, where he holds PRs of 49.52 and 1:55.15 while Sealey will toe the line for 200 and 400 action. The junior classman's resume of all-time bests includes marks of 21.89 and 48.01.
Osunkwo, notably, was our Bermuda XC Challenge 5-kilometer race winner this past December. He and Moorer will be making their second trip to the island while Sealey is excited for his debut appearance.
